Our Mission

Matchless Gifts at 26 2nd Avenue is a beacon of “Krishna consciousness” and a place of pilgrimage for devotees from all over the world. Additionally, it’s a place of community for connecting with the people of New York. Our classes are dedicated to remembering the legacy of Srila Prabhupada and continuing to share his teachings.

MISSION

• to keep Matchless Gifts under the control of ISKCON so that it remains a place of pilgrimage for generations to come.

• to use the space as Srila Prabhupada intended: for outreach and sharing the philosophy and practices of Krishna consciousness with the city of New York.

• to use the space to honor Srila Prabhupada as a sort of “living museum.”

VISION

• for “Hare Krishna” to become a household phrase.

• for the people of New York come to know who the devotees are, gain an understanding of our spiritual philosophy, and develop an appreciation of ISKCON.

• to act as launching pad from which many New Yorkers can begin their spiritual lives.

• to expand the experience of Srila Prabhupada that we can offer to guests and pilgrims.
