NARASIMHA: THE LOST TEMPLES
NARASIMHA: THE LOST TEMPLES AUTHOR READING
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15 / 1:30PM
Dhruva Prabhu fell in love with the form and concept of Narasimhadeva — the Man-lion form of Vishnu — from the time he was a young boy. At his first opportunity, he traveled to India with his close friend, a professional photographer, to find obscure Narasimha temples, photographing the deities receiving worship therein. For numerous years, they traveled the subcontinent together, finding little villages, jungle dwellings, and assorted roadside temples that housed little known forms of Narasimhadeva. The results come in the form of a newly released coffee table book: “Narasimha: The Lost Temples,” with a foreword by Satyaraja Dasa (Steven J. Rosen).
Matchless Gifts is proud to announce that Dhruva will be in New York this weekend and holding a special program at 26 Second Avenue this Sunday at 1:30pm. We encourage all devotees and friends to attend this special program. Prasadam will be available at the Bhakti Center (25 First Avenue) at 12:30-1pm, and the program with Dhruva will be held a half hour later at the storefront around the corner.
